Our Mission
The purpose of DayStar Adventist Academy is to provide a curriculum and campus life that will enhance student opportunities to intimately know God and His Son, Jesus Christ.
DayStar Adventist Academy believes that in the process of coming to know their Creator, students will experience a harmonious development of physical, mental, and spiritual powers. They will realize that true education enables them to be thinkers and not mere reflectors of others’ thoughts. Christian education is a process whereby students become faithful stewards of their God-given talents, to be loyal servants and workers for the Lord Jesus Christ and His remnant church. To this end, DayStar Adventist Academy focuses on students knowing Jesus as their Best Friend, which allows them to discover and implement God’s plan for their lives.
History
DayStar Adventist Academy’s history began in 1970 with the dream of two doctors, Charles and Paul Smith, who lived near Salt Lake City, Utah. Their vision was to see an academy built in the Nevada-Utah Conference. Soon, a search began for property. It wasn’t long till an excellent piece of land was found in beautiful Castle Valley. Nestled among the red cliffs and mesas and furnished with plenty of water and fertile ground for farming, the Smith brothers and Clyde Willard saw to it that the land was eventually purchased. Buildings were erected, and soon school began under the administration of personnel from Wildwood Health Institute.
Today, DayStar Adventist Academy is a thriving educational facility with a college entrance level curriculum.
